Genuine stone is a product of Nature and no two pieces will be exactly alike. Our samples serve only to indicate general characteristics of any given type granite. Variations in color, texture and veining are to be expected.
The name granite is only applied to quartz bearing rocks in which the mineral potassium feldspar is predominate. The name granodiorite applies to simular rocks in which the mineral plagioclase is the chief feldspar. Feldspar and quartz are the chief minerals in Granite and granodiorite. A mica mineral either muscovite or biotite is usually present and many granites contain scattered grains of the mineral homblende. The beauty of Nature shines. We carry many selections of Granite colors from around the world with many new deposits being found all the time. We have brochures we can send to show the many choices available
